Hello from RU Gamma Nu!
Welcome to the official website of Phi Sigma Sigma's Gamma Nu chapter! Our organization has so much to offer collegiate women across the country, and we hope this page will help you learn more about our dynamic sisterhood. We have a rich history of lifelong learning and leadership through service, which are ideals we prioritize each and every day as women of Phi Sigma Sigma. At Rutgers University, we have found an amazing group of women to call our sisters, and we know you will too!

Phi Sigma Sigma was founded in 1913 at Hunter College, New York by 10 incredible women. Now over 60,000 members strong, Phi Sigma Sigma is internationally recognized as a progressive, cutting-edge women's philanthropic and social organization.

As Phi Sigma Sigma women, our mission is to inspire the personal development of each sister by fostering a commitment to lifelong learning, leadership through service and strong social standards. Our organization believes in the advancement of womanhood, which we emphasize through an environment of encouragement and support.

We strive to be a sisterhood of powerful women igniting positive change and embracing individuality.
Home Sweet Home
There are 46 sisters living in the Phi Sigma Sigma house (located on College Avenue), but it is a second home to all members. Whether you’re watching a movie in the living room, enjoying a home cooked meal prepared by our amazing chef, or doing homework in our study room, there will always be a sister to join you! Living in Phi Sigma Sigma gives the women of our organization a chance to form even stronger bonds with one another, and makes sisters feel as though they truly have a second family at Rutgers!
A letter from our president,
Phi Sigma Sigma is a social sorority home to 110 strong, beautiful women who each bring something special to our chapter. As a member, I have grown in so many ways - I have gained lifelong friendships, participated in beneficial educational programs and fundraised for incredible foundations. These things are all easily achievable as a member of our chapter. Our motto, Diokete Hupsala (or Aim High), encourages all sisters to reach their full potential in all that they pursue. Phi Sigma Sigma provides members with unforgettable experiences, memories to cherish and the ability to grow into an influential woman. I can talk all day about how much I love Phi Sig, but I encourage you to explore our website to get a better glimpse of what it’s like to be a part of our sisterhood!
